  • see how many people completed the survey,
  • view charts indicating percentages of answers for each question,
  • drill down to view individual responses, and
  • easily export the survey results into an Adobe PDF document, or into a spreadsheet for further analysis.

Before you start

Seminar Surveyor is designed specifically to handle the definition and result files produced by Seminar Author. Before you can analyse the results of a survey with Surveyor you need to have located those two files.
  • The definition file contains detailed information about the questions of the survey. The definition file of a survey is in .mfo format and can be found in the folder you have exported the Seminar module to (see Distributing your Seminar modules in the Seminar Author manual).
  • The result file contains all the individual responses to the survey. The result file generated by a Seminar survey can be produced in .csv format (spreadsheet compatible), in .txt format (word-processor compatible) or in XML format. Seminar Surveyor requires the file to be in .csv format. You can find further instructions in the Seminar Author manual under the Distributing your Seminar modules section. The result file can also be referred to as the "score file" or the "usage file".
